This equine based workshop is designed for a small group of participants from an organization that wants to create a greater feeling of community among the team. The day will consist of lecture, discussions, journaling and activities with the horses with the goal of working together in a setting that is completely different than the work environment. By transferring what you have learned to your everyday setting, life on the job will be not only be more productive but enjoyable. During a follow up session there will be an opportunity to revisit the concepts and discuss what is working and what needs to happen next.
This equine facilitated workshop is based on “The Five Roles of the Master Herder” by Linda Kohanov. It is designed to help teams of coworkers to identify the type of leader they are, learn the strengths and difficulties of each type in a nonjudgmental environment and recognize that each of us has the ability to move fluidly among the different types of leadership styles to become a “master herder”. By learning to embrace and practice the strengths of these leadership styles, you will create a workplace where each person will feel valued, a condition for the greatest productivity. During a follow up session there will be an opportunity to revisit the concepts and discuss what is working and what needs to happen next.
